Highland Rim Scottish Society Scholarship
The Highland Rim Scottish Society Scholarship is awarded to individuals pursuing education or training that supports, preserves, or promotes Scottish culture, heritage, and traditions. Eligible fields may include, but are not limited, Scottish history, music, piping and drumming, Highland dance, Gaelic language, traditional arts, genealogy, cultural studies, and related disciplines that deepen understanding of Scotland and its global influence.
This scholarship is founded on the belief that cultural knowledge flourishes when it is shared. Recipients are expected to give back to the Highland Rim Scottish Society in a meaningful way, using their education and skills to support the Society’s mission. This may include volunteering at events, teaching or presenting to members, performing, assisting with educational programming, or otherwise contributing their time and talents to the Society.
By investing in education and service, the Highland Rim Scottish Society seeks to ensure that Scotland’s rich cultural legacy continues to thrive within our community for generations to come.
The last HRSS member to be awarded the scholarship was Katie Snyder for Highland Dancing and you can check her out with the link below.
